1-Day Classroom Style Course.

This course can be combined with the 6-day Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA 106) which is taught on the water, port-to-port.

Class starts Friday morning at 9am and ends around 4pm. This is a classroom only course. You’ll study and test the same day with a lunch break.

Sleep-Aboard Option – arrive Thursday evening and stay aboard one of our boats the night before your class starts for an additional fee. Check with the office for availability.

Combine with ASA 106 – after successful completion of the 105 course on Friday, you can roll into the 6-day 106 course that starts on Saturday morning.

20-30 hours of home-study is required to prep for Coastal Navigation. You will receive text books, practice charts and a study guide to further prepare you for the course. Put the time in! You must be prepared to take the test upon your arrival. There will be no instruction, just a brief Q&A prior to the exam.

Included in the price; Coastal Navigation text book, nautical chart, study aids, practice worksheets and customized study guideline.

Prices are as follows:
– $595 per student for books and course materials, testing and certification.
– $200 sleep aboard option for Thursday night – private double cabin (must deboard by noon on Friday)
